For years windsurfing has been viewed by many as being difficult to do. Equipment was heavy and not very user friendly. With the development of lighter stronger rigs and stable boards designed for beginners it’s now possible to be sailing across the water in a matter of minutes.

Achill as a location for windsurfing is ideal. It boasts five blue flag beaches for the more advanced rider. For the beginner Keel Lake is perfect, flat, shallow warm water make beginning and improving a pleasure.

At the centre out staff are active windsurfers themselves and take pride in passing on their knowledge and experience of the sport.

Lessons are run in July and August and on Saturdays after this.

Lessons are tailored to your needs to ensure progress is made every session.

Lessons at the centre represent excellent value for money and are based around the idea that every lesson should be:    SAFE, SIMPLE AND FUN
