The aim of the programme is to provide the opportunity for the participants to explore, learn and grow through connecting with the natural environment for their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.
The outdoor environment is full of endless potential. Using a range of outdoor green and blue spaces, this programme sets out to get the participants engaged in outdoor educational activities with the aim of developing connection, confidence, resilience, and overall well-being.
Programme activities include: Surfing, Hiking, Climbing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Orienteering, Team Challenges, Bushcraft and Shore School Sea Safari.
A growing body of research suggests that outdoor adventure programmes, where participants interact with the natural environment, are successful in developing confidence and skills that help them to manage risk and encourage them to welcome challenging experiences.
This programme provides the opportunity for people of all backgrounds to explore the outdoors, experience adventure and learn about themselves and others in a supportive environment. By harnessing the power of nature and adventure this programme aims to affect positive change in the participants. Designed to build resilience it helps develop positive coping strategies to overcome everyday challenges.
